Taara Positioning Tool
Centimeter-level object positioning from camera images alone.
Taara Positioning Tool localizes a known object to centimeter-level accuracy across a 100-meter working scale, using photogrammetry and camera images alone. Calibrate the object once, then localize it in any environment as it moves.
How it works
Calibration phase
Capture the object from multiple angles. These photos build a photogrammetric model that fixes its exact shape and surface.
Localization phase
Take new photos of the object in its target environment. The system compares them against the model to determine position and orientation in 3D space.
What makes it work
Centimeter accuracy
Centimeter-level localization across a 100-meter working scale.
Camera-based
Works with readily available cameras — no specialized hardware beyond the camera itself.
Indoor and outdoor
Localizes from visual data alone, without relying on satellite navigation.
Two-step workflow
Calibrate once, then localize from a new set of photos whenever the object moves.
Where it fits
Robotics and automation
Give manipulators and mobile robots the exact position and orientation of known objects.
Surveying and mapping
Place and reference objects precisely in construction, geological, and site-survey work.
Asset tracking
Locate equipment and stock in warehouses, transport hubs, and other logistics settings.
